LEADING WITH PURPOSE: REVEREND CARL NICHOLS' JOURNEY IN LEADERSHIP
Reverend Carl Nichols is a multifaceted leader known for his profound commitment to making a positive impact in his community. His lifelong dedication revolves around community service, a commitment he has upheld for more than thirty years. With over a decade of pastoral experience, Reverend Nichols currently serves as the head pastor of Mt. Hebron AME Zion Church in Hallsboro, NC. In his professional journey, he has accumulated 36 years of experience in the transportation industry, with 24 of those years spent in management roles. In addition, Reverend Nichols' has also earned a certificate in Christian Education, a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, and a Master's Degree in Divinity.

When CR Resource Center, Inc. was founded in May 2020, it began with a simple but powerful belief: that communities thrive when people come together with purpose, compassion, and a willingness to act. Looking back on how far we’ve come, I am deeply grateful for every individual who chose to believe in that vision and stand alongside us. Because of your support, we have been able to serve families across Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus Counties meeting urgent needs, expanding access to resources, and offering hope during some of the most challenging moments in people’s lives. These accomplishments are not the result of any one person or program; they are the result of a community committed to showing up for one another. While I am proud of what we have achieved together, I am even more focused on what lies ahead. The challenges facing our communities did not end with our early successes, and the work before us requires continued commitment, thoughtful leadership, and sustained partnership. Progress demands that we remain intentional, accountable, and responsive to the evolving needs of those we serve.
